Chronic Fatigue Syndrome : Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Signs And Symptoms
Chronic fatigue syndrome is characterized by extreme fatigue and tiredness. This tiredness does not fade with bed rest. This disorder may occur after cold and viral fever. However the actual cause of the disorder is still unknown.
Sign and symptoms : The sign and symptoms shown by an individual affected by chronic fatigue syndrome are similar to those shown by viral infection. However unlike flu, its symptoms last for months or sometimes even years. These symptoms come and go frequently with the advent of time. In addition to persistent fatigue which is not caused by any other medical reason there are some primary and additional signs and symptoms to this syndrome. The primary signs and symptoms include loss of memory and lack of concentration, soar throat and unexplained muscle soreness. Painful and mildly enlarged lymph nodes in neck region and armpits may also be observed in this situation. These symptoms are also accompanied with sleep disturbance, headache, acute muscle pain and swelling or redness of the muscles are also some other symptoms displayed by patients suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.

Other signs and symptoms : In addition to the primary sign and symptoms people affected by this syndrome also depict some more symptoms. Some patients affected by this disorder have also reported abdominal and chest pain along with fatigue. Alcohol intolerance, bloating and chronic cough are some other symptoms related to this syndrome. Diarrhea, dizziness and nausea may also be visible amongst patients affected by this syndrome. Irregular heartbeat, dry eyes and mouth, morning stiffness, jaw pain and sweating and night may also be experienced by the patient. Some complain about weightloss, shortness of breath and tingling sensation. Psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, irritability and panic attacks may also arise amongst patients who are suffering from this disease. The worse thing about this syndrome is that with time these symptoms may either worsen or improve. These symptoms can even prop up after some period of time too. Hence it can be said that chronic fatigue syndrome can never be totally cured.
