Dandruff Cures : Use Of Henna As A Dandruff Removal Method
Henna is actually a flowering plant. It belongs to the family of Lythraceae and its scientific name is Lawsonia inermis. This palnt is a is native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, southern Asia and northern Australasia with an arid or at least seasonally dry climate. The henna plant generally grows to a height of 6 metres and is a shrub. The leaves are oval in shape and exists in opposite decussate pairs. The flowesr of henna are fragrant in nature produced in conical panicles with each of them having four white petals. The fruit of henna appears as a dry capsule and it contains numerous seeds inside.
Henna is known to have excellent proportion of nourishing, cleansing and forming agents. Other than this it is also found to posses anti dandruff properties. Upon regular use it enriches the hair to the roots checks untimely graying of hair, falling hair and makes dry rough hair soft and manageable. It has an extraordinary conditioning property that prevents hair fall and reduces the rate of keratinization to prevent the appearance of dandruff and to relieve scalp irritation.
Henna treatment may help to great extent in the removal of dandruff effectively. Generally henna powder is used for hair coloring and dying. However it has also got hair nourishing and dandruff removing properties. To enhance its effectiveness one can add four teaspoons each of lemon juice and coffee, two raw eggs, two teaspoons of oil and enough tea water to the henna powder in order to make the powder into a thick paste. While applying it on the hair, it should be done in a uniform basis so that the entire head is covered. One can usually keep it on for two hours and wash it off with water. To make the tea water for the paste, one should boil used tealeaves in enough water and then cool to add to the henna. Other than this procedure one can also mix one part of rose water with two parts of astringent. Then mixing it with henna powder one can wipe the oily areas of the dandruff effected regions with this lotion two or three times a day using cotton wool.
