Hemorrhoid is generally a disease of rectum and anus. This disease is characterized by swelling of the veins or the blood vessels near the site of anus due to increased abdominal pressure. Sometime the swelling in the blood vessels inside the rectum become very severe and finally protrudes out of the anus and this mass is called hemorrhoidal tissue. There are two types of Hemorrhoid –internal and external Hemorrhoid. Internal Hemorrhoid is characterized by swelling inside the rectum whereas external Hemorrhoid mostly form outside the anus. There are various physical and natural factors responsible for this disease. This includes aging, obesity and pregnancy. Excessive use of laxatives and the constipation problem can also be a major reason for it.
