Bird flu is a severe infection of the wild birds with various strains of influenza viruses. Initially it is very difficult to detect the infected birds as most of the strains infecting the birds are not highly pathogenic and show very mild symptom. There are also viral strains which are highly pathogenic and shows prominent symptom. Domestic birds including the chicken are badly infected during the migratory season. In this season the wild birds which are infected carry the virus in their saliva or feces and thus domestic birds coming in contact get infected. The major reason for growing concern about bird flu is that it can also infect the human being due to genetic change that the virus can undergo by repeated infection

The Asian countries are the countries to be heavily affected by the bird flu as this is the most favored reason for migration by migratory birds. China is one of those Asian countries where outbreak has taken a heavy toll. The latest outbreak of bird flu was in Hunan province in china. It has caused the death of more than 500 chickens and 4500 other birds. But there was no serious news of human infection due to recent outbreak.

China is the growing economy and its human resource is the major strength. Recently mostly all the Asian countries are seriously infected by bird flu and china is also one of them. Transmission into human body can pose a great threat to their growing economy so the government has formulated out various plans in order to combat pandemic outbreak. Health officials are alerted and even little suspicion about the disease should be treated very carefully and the people in the villages should be warned and made aware regarding its effect, large number of health care centre is opened in order to provide vaccination against this dreaded disease. They also developed colour coded response in order to explain alertness of the situation and also tried to be in continuous contact with the world health organization and to keep update on the matter. They had also established contact with various foreign pharmaceutical companies who are major producer of anti-viral agent so that they can help their countrymen to avoid themselves from this dreaded disease
