Male Infertility : Lose Excess Weight
One of the major causes of infertility among human beings is the low sperm count in the man. It has been a wrong perception that when millions of sperm travel from a male body to the female body to get diffused to just one egg then lowering of the sperm will not affect the fertility. This notion can be dismissed mainly due to the fact that most of the sperms die before reaching the female egg. Even the protein receptors on the female egg should accept the sperm. Thus if the number of sperm reaching the female reproductive system are more then the chances of conception increases. This is because the chances of a sperm hitting the female egg will increase manifold. Thus it should be taken care of that through the routine habits of a person the sperm count is maintained to its normal level. To achieve this loosing excess of fat and cholesterol from the body is a measure.
How Excess Weight Affects Sperm Count:
If the body is overweight it clearly means that it contains excess amount of fat granules and cholesterol. These substances are polymers of fatty acid and are not easily combustible. These substances play important role in our endocrine system. They are responsible for the production of the hormones. Testosterone is one such sex hormone which regulates the production of the sperms. Thus excess amount of fat and cholesterol the body can cause hormonal imbalance and adversely affect the production of sperms thus lowering the sperm count. When there are excess of fat droplets in the body apart from getting deposited in the blood vessels they can also get deposited in the testicles where the sperms are produced. This can block the passage of the vasa deferens the lobes which carry the sperms out of the testicles thus reducing the sperm count.
Benefits Of Loosing Excess Of Weight:
Loosing excess amount of weight from the body has many advantages like preventing heart diseases, hypertension, increase mobility and also increasing the sperm count. Conscious effort should be made to loose the excess of weight as the fat and the cholesterol in the body can cause severe damage. The production of the hormones can be contained to its normal level and also the lobules carrying the sperms are freed to carry sperms.
Loosing excess weight not only helps in increasing the sperm count but also helps in promoting overall good health.
