The Challenge Of Parenting Teenagers
"No." You say with enough firmness to not get that question we all know too well. 'Why?'

Instead you hear .....
To my understanding one loose definition of parenting are all the tasks involved in raising and grooming an infant/child/teen into a capable, understanding adult. But sometimes parenting does not just stop at this border, but extends well into adulthood, and even as the adult gets older, the parent is still there to lend a helping hand, or a listening ear.

Parenting consists of the many annexes in growing up an infant to adult: Feeding, clothing, preening, talking, scolding, punishing, disciplining, caring, loving, advice giving etc. Plus countless other acts needed to complete the process and develop a healthy child both mentally and physically. And parenting is no easy task to take upon ones self; it takes a lot of financial, mental, and physical strength to take on such a responsibility. Because an individual is a parent for the rest of their natural lives, and that child, be it infant/child/teen to adult will always have some sort of link with their parent. It is that eternal bond between parent and child that is the core aspect for any thriving family.

A child needs to learn all it needs to learn from the important parenting given to it, but that parenting doesn't always necessarily come from the two parents alone. There are the other family members that are involved in the development of the child, e.g. the grandparents; they have the knowledge of two generations, and hold older values more scared, and can build a child's appreciation, respect, and admiration for the older and wiser sect of the society.

If a child has older siblings, they may also be a part of the development process in an interactive way for a child. Any child of any age will want to emulate their older brother or sister's actions, and it is up to these older siblings to set an encouraging example for their younger siblings.
Parenting Rights
When your child is born you automatically assume that you have all the rights and responsibilities that being a parent means. This .....

Parenting is essentially a continuous part of family life, and it really involves the whole house or otherwise, and can be a test of the family's endurance and love for one another. But it is welcomed part of family life, and it is so much more than just a continuous task.
