Lung cancer is due to growth of various abnormal cells and the formation of abnormal cells is very much related to smoking. It includes surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy. Through various types of abnormal growth which is seen in the lungs in the form of tumor are removed to facilitate the growth of normal cells chemotherapy provides the use of various chemical substances which are known to have the potential to destroy the cancerous cells. The major disadvantage that lies with it is that it also destroys the normal cells making the patient very weak. Radiation is a technique in which energetic rays of various radioactive elements is used to destroy the cancerous growth and it is quite helpful in some cases. But still it is very difficult to treat the lung cancer with cent percent so prevention is better option and should try to quit smoking to be in safer side.
